Sergei Ilyushin — Soviet aircraft designer, developer of the most popular combat aircraft in history — the Il-2 attack aircraft. This aircraft became famous during the Second World War. After the war, Ilyushin’s design bureau began creating passenger airliners and transport aircraft.
